Rising Star Program

Sponsors can gain exclusive access to LCA Certified members for entry-level live-in positions. 

The Rising Star program is designed to help household employers who are seeking an experienced caregiver to move in with them, and are interested in entry level pay scales.

The program gives clients access to experienced caregivers who have limited experience as a live-in. They are caregivers looking for an opportunity to build their resumes as a professional live-in, and are eager to prove themselves working for you.

Program Requirements for LCA members.

Minimum requirements for an LCA member to be considered for the Rising Star program:

  • ​LCA Member in good standing.

  • LCA Certified. Have taken and passed all six modules of the LCA Career Development Course, and passed the final exam. 

  • Currently residing in and legal to work in the US for any employer.

  • Willing and able to do a travel live-in position (reside away from where they live) for months at a time. 

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of verifiable, paid caregiving experience. Can be from hourly shifts with a home care agency, assisted living, care facility or private (as long as it was paid work).

  • Have positive references from previous employers that paid them to provide care. 

  • Have the technological means to do a Zoom video interview (laptop, computer, or smartphone)

Important Note:   The above listed program requirements are the LCA requirements for members to join the Rising Star program. They are not the job requirements for any specific job. Each individual employer chooses their position's specific requirements, pay, duties, and schedule.
